BULONG NG SIMOY (Whisper of the Breeze)

Is a Carmelite Spirituality Cener and a retreat house for different religions and spirituality. It is situated in Dipaculao, Aurora province, around 1 hour from Baler. It has been the venue of silent retreats, several forms of yogas, traditional retreats, recollections, reformations, meditation and for those who are looking forward to be in quiet, serene  location close to nature.

Bulong ng Simoy - Retreat House

Fr. Baltazar Pinca Ronato, O.Carm. is currently the Director of the “Bulong ng Simoy-Bahay Pananahimik” Carmelite Spirituality Center, Dipaculao, Aurora Province and the Provincial Delegate to the Third Order of Carmelites and the Lay Carmelites in the Philippines. He is also a member of the Spirituality and Communication Commissions of the Order of Carmelites, Philippines and a part-time lay-out artist and book designer of the Institute of Spirituality in Asia (ISA).

He facilitates recollections and retreats for laity (students and teachers from various schools and church leaders, mandated organizations, non-government organizations, peoples‘ organizations and government organizations personnel), religious men and women, and seminarians in the areas of Spirituality—Anapanasati Bhavana (Meditation) and Prayer, Theology of the Body, Hatha Yoga, Life‘s Journey, Ecology, Team Building and Leadership.

 

ACCOMMODATIONS / BOARD & LODGING:

Bulong ng Simoy Retreat HouseThe accommodations include a soft bed and a fan inside a wooden hut that could accommodate up to 3 individuals per day. Electricity is very minimal and limited to a light bulb and a fan at night to encourage guests to either meditate silently or participate in group sharing at the activity center.

Meals are all organic, harvested from the garden surrounding the center and may include vegetables, fish and chicken.

The center charges P600 per person per day which includes accommodation on one of the houses, 3 meals per day and including snacks.

HOW TO GET THERE:

From Ninoy Aquino International Airport (MNL)
– Take a cab/taxi to Cubao JoyBus terminal (roughly P400 – P500) 1 – 2 hours ride
– Take JoyBus bus from Cubao terminal to JoyBus Baler downtown terminal (P400 per person per way) 6 – 7 hours ride
– Take a tricycle from JoyBus Baler terminal to Dipaculao, Bulong ng Simoy (tell the driver to bring you to Bulong ng Simoy) (P300 per person per way) 1 – 1.5 hours

From Metro Manila
– Go to JoyBus terminal in Cubao
– Take JoyBus bus from Cubao terminal to JoyBus Baler downtown terminal (P400 per person per way) 6 – 7 hours ride
– Take a tricycle from JoyBus Baler terminal to Dipaculao, Bulong ng Simoy (tell the driver to bring you to Bulong ng Simoy) (P300 per person per way) 1 – 1.5 hours

Driving (approx 8 hours)
– Take North Luzon Express way – Turn right and exit to SCTEX (Subic Clark Tarlac Express way – Mabalacat)
– Turn right to Tarlac – Sta. Rosa Road – Drive straight and turn left to Pan Philippine (Maharlika) Highway
– Turn right to Pinagpanaan-Rizal-Pantabanga Road
– Continue straight to Pantabangan – Canili – Basal – Baler Road
– Turn left to Baler – Casiguran Road
– Continue to follow baler Casiguran Road until you find the Bulong ng Simoy marker/sign (on the left)
