2016 TRAVEL FORECAST

Wondering what would be the travel climate in 2016? We have searched the web far and wide and we have gathered travel forecasters common predictions and opinions from travel experts, and here they are:

  1. Airlines drop airfare prices by as much as 5% due to dropping prices of oil
  2. Hotel prices increase as more people could afford more to travel while hotel space remains the same. Another factor is AirBNB is tightening regulations forcing hosts to charge more to clients in compliance to reduce noise, damages and incidents.
  3. Traveler demands shift from “sightseeing tours” to “experiential tours” or “immersion tours” where tourists want to experience more, take photos as much, and get only 1 minute commentary on destinations.
  4. Tourist spots get more crowded
  5. Potential crisis remains as nothing much has been done to address climate change, including border security. But, travel insurance may get more comprehensive.
